The Golden State Modified Community Correctional Facility (MCCF) is a medium security facility designed to house custody inmates and parole violators for the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR). GEO is one of McFarland's largest employers, second only to the Department of Education. GEO made a commitment to local residents to recruit locally, and over 80% of the facility staff was hired from McFarland and surrounding communities.
